Gore Mountain is a State owned ski area, located in North Creek, operated by the Olympic Region Development Authority, and is within a 2 and a half hour scenic drive of Syracuse. It offers some interesting terrain for all levels of skiers. Most skiers find the area served by the 8 passenger gondola a particularly nice area with several nice long intermediate level trails. More adventuresome skiers may want to try the challenging double-diamond trails like 'The Rumor', 'Lies' and 'Upper Darby' on the upper part of Gore Mountain. Novice skiers will find several trails at the bottom of the mountain within their ability level. Whatever your skiing level, you may find this one to be just what you have been looking for.
