Membership Communications
Communications between members is accomplished in three ways. Short term communications (within 1 to 2 weeks) of club events and activities is accomplished by the use of E-mail. Month-to-month communications is accomplished by inserting the announcement into the publication of the club's regular News Letter called the "Schussboomer". Also, notices of club events are placed in the club's Calendar of Events
E-mail Communications
If any club member desires to lead a club activity, and wishes to announce the event to our whole membership, the member needs to simply send an e-mail to our E-mail Chairperson, Sandi Patnode, e-mail: Onondagaskiclub@gmail.com and request that she pass the announcement on to the club's e-mail list.
Your e-mail request should include the message in the format that you would like sent out, so that Sandi can copy and paste it into the her e-mail; include the type of event, the dates and times, the location, a brief description of the event, and finish up with your name and either your e-mail address and/or your phone number, so that people with questions will have that information in order to contact you directly.
OSC members who would like to be added to the list to receive these e-mail notices about upcoming activities and events, should contact our Membership Chairperson, Bob Wiley @ 315 696-6413 or e-mail: odiew@juno.com and ask to be included on the club's e-mail list.
Website Calendar of Events
Our new calendar of upcoming events has been selected to provide greater flexibility for entries. The new format will accommodate longer descriptions of the events and can be in your own words. The new calendar can be displayed in calendar or list format, and will show future and past months as well as the present month. In order to return to this site from the calendar, just click on the return arrow at the top of the calendar screen.
New events can be added to the Calendar by sending them directly to Sandi Patnode by e-mail Onondagaskiclub@gmail.com or phone her at 652-0430.
Schussboomer Newsletter
Welcome to the Onondaga Ski Club news letter called the "Schussboomer". The Schussboomer contains month-to-month information about current club activities, trips, and issues; and is published 10 times a year. Two issues (May-June and July-August) combine two months into one. To view the latest newsletter, or to look at past historical newsletters, click on this link.News Letter

DISTRIBUTION FORMAT:
The Schussboomer is predominantly distributed electronically and may be accessed through links listed below, however, it is also available in a paper format. For those members who desire a paper version mailed to them, a nominal fee of $10 per household per year is required to be paid when a member joins or renews his membership. Contact our membership chairperson, Bob Wiley @ 315 696-6413 or e-mail: odiew@juno.com to arrange for the mailing.
ADVERTISING:
The Schussboomer may be utilized for two types of advertising - personal and business. Free personal adds (to buy, sell, or exchange personal items) may be published in the Schussboomer by e-mailing your item's description to the Schussboomer editor, Peggy Hotaling at peg89@verizon.net. Business advertising is not free and those desiring to advertise in the Schussboomer should contact Marian Jerose at (315) 696-6413 for rate information.
