Treasurer’s Report: Terry questioned whether the club was making or losing money.   Marv said the club is stable, the investment fund climbed back to where it was. Per Tom, the club is about $2K behind at this point. Cash flow is approximately $6K ahead, the Lodge is $1K behind. Fuel at the Lodge has been prepaid this year. Per Marv, the club is holding its own. The treasurer’s report was received and filed as submitted via e-mail by John Sonne.

Committee Reports

·  Membership: Jack submitted comparison of February ’07 and March ’07 report. Down one commercial (Dewitt Sports closing), three more junior members, one new out-of-state for a total of 479 paid members. New members joined in 2006: 97. New members to date for 2007: 25. Marv has called some who have not renewed thus far to find out why and/or how club can better meet their needs. Terry, John Whelan, Kay, and Doug offered to call also.

·  Communications: Boomer deadline March 15. Jack has had a request from Debbie Kimberly for club database list of members age 55 and under for CNY Spark. Request discussed by Board.

·  Lodge:  Ken Robbins stated that the Lodge planning committee will meet April 11; the work weekend is April 27, 28 and 29. He called the alarm company requesting they call him or Al Smith to resolve any alarm issues. No charge so far for false alarm (one at end of January). March 2-4 weekend was very successful, per Tom. Congratulations are due to Anne and John Sonne for putting it together.

·  Trips: Tom reported that the Stowe trip was very successful, great weather, great skiing. Only one injury; Phil Howard pulled leg muscle. Mt. Tremblant is now a car trip, per Leo. Belleayre was cancelled due to bad weather on the day of trip.

·  Racing: NASTAR Program:  Season completed and successful, per Marv. His team took 1st, Ski Hawks 2nd, and OSC team #3 took 3rd place. Leo said Dick Gillette is looking for someone going to Nationals in Steamboat. Marv suggested he contact Kay Kelly.

·  Onondaga Cup Race: Very successful, per Marv. We had 76 racers last year and 97 this year, 36 from SU. The race generated $2,300 in income for a profit of $5.90. Due to a delay of the original order, we now have enough mugs for 2008 and 2009 Onondaga Cup races. They are stored in Marv’s garage.

·  Social: Night on the Town at Megan Murphy’s, Seneca Mall, March 9, 5:30 pm. Happy Hour at Twin Trees II, March 20, 5:30 pm. Clam Bake at Spinning Wheel: May 19, 2-6 pm. We need 50 to confirm.

Old Business: Benefit for Tully Lakes Ski Shop: Mark Bidwell has been in contact with Cindy at Toggenburg’s Foggy Goggle to arrange a race, dinner, silent auction, and band (Face Value) to benefit Hilarie Zani whose ski shop was destroyed in a recent fire. So far he has had no confirmation from Toggenburg. It was mentioned that Song Mountain may also do a race and benefit for the Tully Lakes Ski Shop.

No further old business.

New Business: Tom announced that Charlotte Buskey, chair of the nominating committee, has the slate of candidates for election featured in the March Boomer.

The OSC web site has a full page ad on the May Clam Bake and Cape Cod trip.

There being no further business, Mark made motion to adjourn, seconded by Marv.

Respectfully submitted,

Marian LaPierre
